If lifecycle-operator restarts deployment tasks are rerun

If I delete my operator and it restarts, or it restarts automatically it reruns all tasks once it is back running. This can trigger hundreds of jobs simultaneously. Is there anyway to stop this? I am using version v2.0.0.
